 Tsk 1: Film in Theory  structuralism: films  convey meanings through the use of codes and conventions a bit like the way languages are used to construct a conversation.  semiotics: semiotic analysis is a way to explain how an audience makes meaning from   codes.  auteur theory:     the director is viewed as the major creative force when creating the films.                                                   Charlie And The Chocolate factory Genre: Charlie and the chocolate factory is a fantasy adventure film. Content analysis:  The film is about a young boy Charlie Bucket who lives a poor, simple life with his parents and grandparents in a small house close to the Wonka factory. For years the factory had been closed but then one day, the owner Willy Wonka decided to open it to five different lucky people who finds a golden ticket. Narrative analysis: The narrative analysis of Charlie and the chocolate factory is based off of the book. the film and book helps to say an important message of money doesn't bring you happieness as charlie lives in a small, collapsed house with his family, but is a happy person who isn't selfish, spoilt, or rude , demanding person. Give a short description of each and an example if possible from a short film of your choice:  film: Avengers  Infinity War Genre Analysis: Avengers  is a SCIFI film. Content Analysis:Avengers Infinity war is a film about how the mad titan Thanos is trying to wipeout half of the universe to bring peace to the universe. Thanos goes around with his powerful children the 'Black order' to help him collect all six infinity stones for his infinity gauntlet and snap his fingers.  There is a group of super heroes who come together and fight Thanos and his army they are called The Avengers. Narrative Analysis: The narrative in Avengers Infinity War is how the mad titan,'Thanos' is trying to collect all the infinity stones so he can wipe out half of the universe and bring balance to the universe which, meant having to take sacrifice's that he didn't want to take.
